Stop spying on Us!

As Bush aides continue to defend the illegal wiretapping of citizens, I am more and more infuriated with the lack of concern from the Congress. This is the body of government that is truly meant to represent the interests of the citizens of this country. If they are unwilling to stand up for our constitutional rights while this administration undoes the Constitution and the Bill of Rights who will? Will the people even car? Or are we more concerned with making sure our cable is on? And who's going to be the next American Idol? And as long as the sheeple in this country has his or her TV no one will complain.

I am not willing to allow my rights and my son's rights to be taken away. I plan on voting against any incumbent this November, and calling all the rubber stamp Congressmen and women I can, and strongly voicing my opinions. How much more can we take?

The people of New Orleans have still not been taken care of after Katrina. The people of New York have still not been taken care of after September 11th. I know because I see it everyday. We haven't caught one single person involved in the terrorist attacks against this country. Instead we went to war in Iraq. For what? Oil? I don't think so considering what the gas prices are at the pump today, and what my heating oil costs was this past winter.

No this administration is concerned with only one thing. Getting rich. They already have enough money, but now they want to take the rest of the money away from the rest of us. Don't kid yourselves; unless your last name is Exxon or Multi-national Corporation, there is no American dream for you. The tax breaks this rubber stamp Congress passed this last week don't benefit you, unless you make all your money sitting at home waiting for your dividend checks to come in. This tax break is just plain stealing from the poor to give to the rich. Who is going to pay that money back? The poor working stiff that’s who.

So while this “President” breaks over 505 laws each day, the sheeple of this country just keep watching the distraction issues on TV. While the government is bankrupting this country and robbing us blind.

This week they are going to rubber stamp the confirmation of the new director of the CIA, Gen. Michael V. Hayden. Who’s he? Just the guy who designed the illegal wiretapping of American citizens. Hey instead of finding out, who is calling Pizza Hut. Why not try fining some actual terrorists. Not some vegans protesting a meat factory, or citizens actually concerned about losing their rights.

Don’t be confused; this administration strong-armed these phone companies. They were threatened with loss of government contracts, tax breaks, audits, etc. Just to get yours and my phone calling records. Why didn’t they take this to FISA to get a warrant? Because you need a specific reason to wiretap someone, let alone millions of people. These guys are not looking for terrorists; they are looking for their political enemies.

Stand up for yourselves people before it is too late.
