You owe $30,000! Thanks Republicans

Congratulations America we are one-step closer to experiencing the Great Depression 2.

Thanks to the Republicans and their conservative ways, the national debt is now $9 trillion dollars. The Republican controlled Congress passed a bill today to increase our national debt spending limit to meet our monetary obligations. Each individual in this country is responsible for $30,000 each. That is on top of the credit card debt you already have.

Let me explain it in real terms so you can understand. It is as if you get your cell phone bill and you don't have money in the bank to write a check to cover it, so you pay it online with your VISA card. Then you have 30 days to figure out how you are going to pay your VISA bill. But in 30 days your VISA bill and phone bill are due again. This time you will pay your phone bill with your VISA card, and use a credit card check from a second credit card to pay your VISA bill. And so on, and so on.

That is the situation the Republicans have gotten us into since Bill Clinton left them with a surplus. Thanks to unnecessary tax cuts for the rich, fighting two wars abroad (one completely unnecessary - Iraq, a failed Medicare plan, etc. Bush has succeeded in doing to the United States exactly what he did to every single company he ever was involved in - bankrupt it!

Later today the House is going to pass a bill giving $91 billion more to pay for the unnecessary war in Iraq. Thirty days from now they'll have to figure how to pay for that.
