No one could foresee planes being flown into buildings and used as weapons.
No one could foresee the insurgency in Iraq.
No one could foresee the water breeching the levees.

Time and time again the administration was given information. They deliberately chose to ignore it, and now we will suffer the consequences. While they reap the benefits.

A thought on the Nuclear deal with India

This nuclear deal with India, besides the needed distraction from the videotape that shows George Bush lied about what they knew would happen with hurricane Katrina, I wondered something else. How long before the "terrorists" start bombing India? India does have the 2nd largest population of muslims in the world, and their demonstrations the last few days definitely showed how the feel about Bush and his policies.

So I just wondered how long before our new allies become targets for terrorism?

Bush Lies Caught On Tape!!!

Remember when Bush said, “no one anticipated that the levees in New Orleans would be breached? Well the Associated Press just released a story accompanied by video footage that contradicts Bush’s claim. There are six days of footage of Bush and Chertoff being warned that what happened in New Orleans was a distinct possibility.

These guys are friends!!!!! Bush is taking care of his family’s interests, and those interests aren’t our safety. He could give a care about us, didn’t Hurricane Katrina teach you that? They still haven’t helped those families. But hey let’s make sure Neil Bush can sell some software to the UAE. Let’s not forget the fact that the Carlyle Group has its only Middle East office in the UAE, that’s Bush Sr.’s private equity firm. Don’t be surprised if Junior is setting himself up with this deal. Maybe he has a job waiting for him in the UAE after he’s done screwing up our country.

Bush confident of finding Bin Laden

After five years of absolutely no progress in finding Osama bin Laden, Bush today “feels confident” that bin Laden will be brought to justice. Considering Bush doesn’t “spend too much time thinking about where (Osama) is,” it’s seems a bit prophetic to predict his capture. Maybe that’s because he knows exactly where Osama is. Maybe it’s because his good friends at the United Arab Emirates go hunting with Osama and can lead our troops right to him. Or maybe it’s because it is an election year and his approval rating stands at 30%.

Since Bush is making predictions let me get in on the game too. I predict they will find Osama about 30 days before the November elections. That’s it. I did it. Check back with me in October.

So Bush shows up today in Afghanastan, where civil war is not breaking out, and makes this outlandish prediction. How can he say it with a straight face? These guys have been all talk no action when it comes to the war on terror, or terrr as Bush says it. Al Queda attacks us so after a futile capture attempt of Osama they hang it up and move on to Iraq. Using bogus intelligence they concoct this story of how Sadaam was helping Al Queda. Not true. Then they had WMDs, also not true. But they do have oil.

We know that Bush, Cheney, Rice, and the lot love oil. They and there friends derive enormous profits from oil as well. So we spend four years chasing our tails and to what end? Civil war in Iraq. Great job Bush. Almost as good a job as he did running Harken Oil, or anything he’s done in his life.

One thing you can use to assist you in wading through all the lies and spin doctoring, whatever one of these guys says the opposite is true. We’re going to find Osama, we won’t. (Unless it helps win re-election for Republicans) Iraq has WMDs, they don’t. Doing “a great job Brownie,” he didn’t. Economy is booming, it’s not. (Unless you are an oil or drug company.) We need to reform social security, we don’t. But we do need to replace the money Bush stole from it to pay for his needless war in Iraq. You get the idea. Take a talking point and the opposite is true.

45 Day wait to approve port deal

Dubai Ports World asked the United States to conduct the review to allay concerns about handing over terminal management in six major ports to a firm owned by the government of Dubai in the United Arab Emirates. This is a face saving move by Bush to quiet dissenters and push this through 45 days from now. Bill Frist has already done a u-turn and now feels "pretty good" about the deal and any security concerns he once had.

This is a maneuver that will only remove this problem from the minds of the average American. Most Americans will forget this issue by then because we will be distracted by some other bogus news story in about 30 days, that will occupy our front pages and the corporate news channels. Then they will sneak this sale though and get what they want all along.

The deal is really going to effect the control of 21 ports, not six. Dubai Ports World will gain access to the security procedures of the operations of the ports. They have harbored and aided terrorists. 9/11 terrorists flew directly from UAE to the U.S. They funded the 9/11 hijackers and provided a safe haven for them. Weeks ago the Coast Guard raised concerns over this deal but the administration ignored them. Just like they did with all the warnings before 9/11.

Treasury Secretary John Snow stands to make a 33 million dollar profit when this deal is approved. Mr. Snow has stock options in the British company that is selling control to the UAE and these options will be vested when the deal goes through. One major reason nobody is having a problem with this deal. This deal is taking care of Bush cronies like the UAE and Mr. Snow.

This deal will have major ramifications on our national security. Like every other decision this administration has made it will make Americans less safe than they were before they took office.
