In 1987 the congress had sense not to appoint a judge whose beliefs were far outside that of mainstream America. I hope and pray that the Senators realize this appointment of Mr. Alito is the same situation as in 1987. Remember Judge Bork is Samuel Alito's hero, he believes that Bork was the greatest Supreme Court nominee ever.

Bush and Abramoff: So Happy Together

Democrats.org has a post called "George W. Bush and Jack Abramoff: So Happy Together" that's worth checking out...

Ethics charges and investigations have swirled involving beltway power-lobbyist Jack Abramoff, who has direct ties to Bush and his White House. Abramoff, a Bush Administration transition member, boasted how close he was to 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue. He bragged how easy it was to raise money for the President, even as he was arranging to turn his White House connections to his advantage—and the Bush White House has been happy to oblige.

Why were Atta and 9/11 muslim hijackers on Abramoff's casino boat?

Why were some of the 9/11 terrorists partying it up on the Jack Abramoff casino party boats? Why is no body talking about this? Where is the media coverage of this? This is a little too coincidental for me.

Jack Abramoff on Bush Transition Team

Why is the corporate media not following up on the fact that President Bush is continuing to lie about his association with Jack Abramoff? Let me refresh Mr. Bush’s memory he was a part of you transition team when you took office in 2000. (And I do mean took office.) Abramoff was a loyal and serious player in Bush's circles.

The Traitors to Democracy

Today several so called Democrats announced their support for the Republican, Right-Wing, Corporately sponsered, Fundamentalist approved Supreme Court nominee Samuel Alito Jr. There by blocking any chance there is for a filibuster and saving of our Constitution.

Overreacting you say? We'll have to wait and see but I have the uneasy feeling that all of our civil rights will be re-examined and the Supreme Court will be ruling on the validity of those rights in the near future.

Let me list the names of the Democratic Senators who have traded our rights for politcal favors to be named later. They are Robert Byrd of West Virginia, Tim Johnson of South Dakota, Ben Nelson of Nebraska, and Sen. Kent Conrad of North Dakota.

Sen. Ken Salazar of Colorado and Sen. Mary Landrieu of Louisiana -- have said they would oppose any filibuster attempt. Story

This will give the required amount of votes to block any filibuster attempts by Senate Democrats. Where are the backbones of these people? Do they not understand the Constitution and our entire Democracy is at stake with this nominee?

This nominee has stated that he believes in a Unitary Executive, which would give the President unlimited power to do, basically, whatever he damn well pleases. Spy on citizens, break long established laws, and ignore any law that doesn't suit his particular purpose.

How could this happen? Please contact your local Senators and express your outrage at thier turning their back on 230 years of Democracy. If you don't call how will they know how you feel?

I am sick and tired of what is going on in this country. The people need to reclaim their voice in this country. The Senate Judiciary hearings are a farce. Our entire Administration is crooked. And the corporate media just sits back a spits forth whatever talking points the Administration publishes each day.

This is where I will post my feeling on what is going on in our country and maybe just maybe someone might hear me. Since my Senators ignore me with form letter responses, maybe my fellow Americans will hear and attempt to make their own voices heard as well.

I know the NSA will be checking out this blog, will anyone else?
