Bush says Rumsfeld is stepping down - Yahoo! News: "former
CIA Director Robert Gates will take over at the
Pentagon"

Bush is firing Rumsfeld as a result of sweeping change in the Congress. So after a week ago when Bush said Rumsfeld was doing a fantastic job in Iraq, Bush tells him he is stepping down less than 24 hours after the midterm elections.

Everytime Bush gives someone a pat on the back they get fired shortly thereafter. Remember Michael Brown? Porter Goss?

Plus Bush needs to do this now so he can pass Rumsfeld's replacement through Congressional hearings while he has a Republican Congress.

The people have spoken. We want our country back from the scandal ridden Republicans and went to the polls in droves. There were plenty of problems with the electronic voting machines where people were unable to vote. Plus its still not over. Montana and Virginia are still up in the air with their Senate seats. It seems that George "Macaca" Allen is going to ask for a recount. .

So in we'll see how the Republicans handle losing. They criticized Gore in 2000 when the Florida election was rigged and stolen. Now when elections have been rigged in their favor they still lose. So we'll see how Gearge "I still eat pork" Allen handles losing in Virginia, and Conrad Burns handles losing in Montana.
